Terms of Service

1. Scope

These Terms of Service apply to the use of the platform avukat.eu, operated by Portalix UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Thalkirchner Str. 103, 81371 Munich, Germany (hereinafter "Operator"). By registering or using the platform, you accept these terms.

2. Description of Services

avukat.eu is an online directory and referral platform for Turkish-speaking lawyers in Europe. The platform enables:

  • Those seeking legal advice to find lawyers and send non-binding consultation requests
  • Lawyers to create a profile and receive booking requests
  • Users to use AI-powered legal tools for general orientation

The Operator does not provide legal advice and is not a party to any client-lawyer relationships established through the platform.

3. Registration and User Account

Registration is done via passwordless magic link sent by email. Each user may only create one account. The information provided must be truthful and current. The Operator reserves the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms.

4. Lawyer Profiles

Lawyers can create a free basic profile. Premium profiles with extended features may be activated for a fee. Each lawyer is responsible for the accuracy and currency of their profile information. Profiles may be reviewed by the Operator and deactivated if they violate applicable law.

5. Booking Requests

Through the platform, users can send non-binding consultation requests to lawyers. A contractual relationship (mandate) between the user and the lawyer is only established through direct agreement. The Operator is not a contractual party and is not liable for the resulting legal relationships.

6. Reviews

Users may submit reviews for lawyers. Reviews are moderated before publication. The Operator reserves the right to reject or remove reviews that:

  • violate applicable law
  • contain offensive, discriminatory, or false content
  • are evidently manipulated or submitted abusively
7. AI-Powered Tools

The AI tools offered on the platform (Legal Finder, Document Check, Profile Chat) are for general orientation only and do not constitute legal advice. Results may be incomplete or inaccurate. The Operator recommends always consulting a lawyer for binding legal information. Inputs are anonymized before processing (PII masking).

8. Liability

The Operator is fully liable for intent and gross negligence. For slight negligence, the Operator is only liable for breaches of material contractual obligations, limited to foreseeable, typical damages. In particular, the Operator is not liable for:

  • the accuracy of lawyer profile information
  • the quality of legal services arranged through the platform
  • the results of AI-powered tools
  • the availability of the platform
9. Intellectual Property

All content on the platform (texts, graphics, software, design) is protected by copyright. Reproduction, distribution, or use without written permission from the Operator is prohibited.

10. Termination

Users can request account deletion at any time by sending an email to info@avukat.eu. The Operator may terminate accounts without notice for violations of these terms.

11. Changes to Terms

The Operator reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Registered users will be notified of changes by email. Continued use of the platform after notification constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction for all disputes is Munich, provided the user is a business entity.

13. Severability

If any provision of these terms is or becomes invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
